Welcome back children. I hope you’ve had a lovely, relaxing summer holiday and are ready to start the term with energy and enthusiasm. Mrs Rudd
This week we started our topic all about Ancient Greece. The children have been using the internet to research the area and have created a fact sheet. What I would like the children to do over the next two weeks is to research two further areas of Ancient Greece to share with the class.

Hello year three children, parents and carers.
I would just like to introduce myself. I am Mrs. Rudd and I am the new year three teacher. I work part time from Wednesday to Friday so that I can look after my two boys on Monday and Tuesday.
This term we will be learning about Ancient Greece. Today the children tried a variety of foods from Greece and we have begun to find out information about the country.
One of the key areas I would like to also focus on this term is times tables. Each child will have their own multiplication achievement card which will show which times tables they know and which ones they still need to work on. They will have opportunities to practise their times tables in class during the week and then on a Friday, if they feel they are ready to, they will have a times tables test.
I hope to update this blog each week with information about what we have learnt and also any information about homework.
I have an open door policy so if you need to speak to me about something your child is concerned about please do not hesitate to come and find me either at the beginning or the end of the day.
